Piedmont House is located at 2434 Piedmont Ave., Berkeley, just over 3 short blocks from the University of California. We have shared rooms as well as small, medium, and large private rooms.

There are no weekly or monthly discounts for beds in shared rooms.

We offer a 10% discount on private rooms for a week's stay, an additional 10% discount for 4 weeks or more.

Room Rates per Night - Taxes Included

Rooms are simple and clean.  Bed linens, blankets, pillows and towels are provided.
Check-in time is at 4 pm.
Check out time is 12 pm on the day following your last night.

Amenities

  • Rest Rooms There are 2 rest rooms on each floor and 1 in the men's dorm.
  • Shower Filters There's one on each floor.
  • We have a Water Purifier (Distiller) in the kitchen.
  • Full Kitchen There is a shared kitchen with fridges, pots/pans, dishes, etc. Usually there are free food items courtesy of the house and of your fellow travelers. Help yourself. Just check signs for personally-owned food and we suggest you label your own food as well.
  • Computer Kiosk There is a free internet-based PC on the way to the kitchen. This is a first come, first serve machine, so help yourself. Please be mindful of others who may be waiting and use 20 minute increments.
  • Phone An outgoing phone is near the computer, which will dial local and toll-free (800) numbers.
  • Bicycles are available for rent with a $100 deposit.
  • Laundry Room We offer laundry machine access with a refundable $5 key deposit. Natural, unscented soap is available on site.
  • Maps are available in the office - find one of us and we’ll give you one and directions.
  • Free Lockers Locks available for rent or purchase($5).
  • Free Wi-Fi
